Sailfish are here in Marathon Florida

Saturday April 28, 2012-

This week was an incredible week in Marathon Florida for those interested in catching Sailfish.  The gulf stream was tucked close in towards the lighthouse in Marathon and allowed for some awesome sight fishing for Sailfish.  The wind and rain prevented many from being able to get out there, however Jim was able to show Bill from Delaware to his first Sailfish ever.  Bill said that he had caught Blue & White Marlin bill fish in the past, but the sailfish had eluded him.

Offshore Tuna Fishing in Marathon Florida

June 28, 2011-

Last week was very successful both offshore fishing for Tuna, Dolphin and Wahoo and also on the wrecks and reef.  We have enclosed a short note from one of Jim's customers last week, as it definitely sounds like they had a lot of fun fishing with Captain Jim on Angler Management Charters.

Hi Jim, You took our families fishing this past week. Mike Tucker and Jeff Feins. Here is the picture of the Big tuna we caught.
Thank you for the great memories: Kim Tucker (Lauren Tucker 10 yrs old is in picture)

Las Vegas hits the Keys

January 24, 2011-

Tracey came to visit the Keys and all she could talk about was getting some fresh fish to fry for dinner... only problem was Captain Jim had to do the cooking along with the Captaining!
Tracey shook off the rust from her angling arm to reel in several nice Hogfish, some Porgies and Mangrove Snappers.  She helped Jennifer pose for a picture with a nice 45 pound Amberjack that Jen caught out on one of Marathon's wrecks.
Everyone had a great time, out fishing & even better time eating up the fillets that Captain Jim fixed up for the group!

Tuna, Tuna, Tuna.... in Marathon Florida

January 3, 2010-

Angler Management was offshore fishing a couple of times this week... with the Lindsey's, from Newnan, Georgia.

The first day out with Cliff and his family, Capt Jim lead them to some nice Mangrove Snapper & of course this time of year, Mackerel.  Then they went Offshore to catch up the Tuna & had a great time reeling em' in!  They told Jim the next day that they were a little sore from fishing, but I don't think that they were really complaining.

Captaining a Private 47' Hatteras

November 30, 2010-

Lately, Jim's been Captaining a private boat, a beautiful 47 foot Hatteras here in Marathon, Florida.  It's that time of the year, the snow birds are headed back to the Florida Keys, and Angler Management is busy on several boats.  You can't get much better than standing in that 30 foot Tuna Tower looking for Sailfish spraying, not to mention the gorgeous views!  Check out some of the photos...  the Mackeral bite has been great, along with Snapper, Mutton, Mangroves, Yellowtail, Sailfish and Tuna.

Sail fishing Mutton & Mangrove Snapper are back.....

November 23, 2010-

Sailfish are back!!!  Only 5 minutes after pulling anchor from chumming up the Ballyhoo to go Sail fishing we saw the tell "tail" spray of Ballyhoo with a Sailfish hot on the trail of the bait fish.  Right off the port of the boat, there was a beautiful sailfish.  Capt Jim had that Sailfish hooked up almost instantly for a first timer on the billfish action...  it was amazing.  We also limited a couple catches of Mangrove snapper that day all in the 16-18" range.

It's Mutton Snapper fishing time in the Florida Keys

October 21, 2010-

This week's fishing has been awesome down here in the Florida Keys!  We have been Yellowtailing out on the outer edge of the reefs with some really nice flag yellowtail, easily catching 24"-26" fat ones.  In addition to the reefs, the wreck have been full of action.  The Mutton bite has been great, just yesterday alone we brought 9 Muttons to the boat.  One Angler got her first Mutton and Kingfish, both this week!

Tuna fishing the Florida Keys Tampa Style...

October 8, 2010-
Angler Management Charters showed up recently in the Citizen Newspaper in the Florida Keys with a photo of Jay, Lisa & Dan from Tampa, Florida.  They caught 17 Blackfin Tuna and a few Dolphin on their trip with Capt. Jim Griffith, then celebrated back at the dock with a few drinks!

Permit & Tarpon Fishing Action Marathon Florida

July 2010-
Steve from Louisiana doubled up on his fishing action while visiting The Florida Keys.  He landed and then released several Permit while fishing with Captain Jimmy Griffith on the wrecks oceanside in Marathon, Florida.  Then for some evening fishing fun he chased down some Tarpon up at the bridges near Marathon Florida.  According to Steve his back couldn't tolerated much more rod bending after his 2 days out with Angler Management Charters...

Tuna Fishing In Marahton, Florida Keys

August 2010-

Jay, Lisa and Dan from Tampa Florida headed out with Capt. Jim Griffith to catch up the Tuna today.... they caught 17 Blackfin Tuna and a mix of Dolphin/Mahi Mahi to round out a nice cooler full to bring back home.  Even Captain Jim got in on the action, schooling the repeat customers in on the fact that he's still "got it in the reeling em' in department".
