November 23, 2010- Sailfish are back!!! Only 5 minutes after pulling anchor from chumming up the Ballyhoo to go Sail fishing we saw the tell "tail" spray of Ballyhoo with a Sailfish hot on the trail of the bait fish. Right off the port of the boat, there was a beautiful sailfish. Capt Jim had that Sailfish hooked up almost instantly for a first timer on the billfish action... it was amazing. We also limited a couple catches of Mangrove snapper that day all in the 16-18" range. A few days later Keith Lovingood of Tampa, Florida was down on business & mixed in a little pleasure, on a fishing trip with Angler Management Charters. He was able to bring back a cooler full of snapper fillets on an afternoon charter in Marathon. He hit a patch reef, that was awesome for the Mangrove Snapper & then did some deeper dropping on the wrecks for Mutton Snapper. |
